the sum

while walking
down Franklin St
it occurred to me
what this could mean

so I wrote it down
as I climbed the stairs
the green and grey
that the lights display

comes and goes
like a wind of memory

cause our hearts are numbers
passing us in the road
our hearts are numbers
pursuing the sum
